It was revealed on April 24th that actress Narumi Riko will be "collaborating" with Snoopy in the upcoming Japanese dub of "Happiness Is A Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown". She will be playing the role ofLinus, the protagonist in the 2011 Peanuts movie.
Narumi commented, "When I was an elementary school student, I used to go to Snoopy Town, so I am very happy. I struggled (with voice acting) because the way you project your voice is very different from normal acting, but all of the characters were really loveable, and gave me a kind feeling."
The 18-year old actress, who recently graduated from high school, also expressed renewed determination in her acting career. With a smile, she stated, "I want to make even more interesting works in the future."
The Japanese dub of the Peanuts film has been retitled "Happiness is: Snoopy to Shiawase no Blanket" (Snoopy and the Blanket of Happiness), and is set for DVD release on August 12th.
