Narumi Riko to play Linus for Japanese dub of Peanuts movie

It was revealed on April 24th that actress Narumi Riko will be “collaborating” with Snoopy in the upcoming Japanese dub of “Happiness Is A Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown“. She will be playing the role of Linus, the protagonist in the 2011 Peanuts movie.
Narumi commented, “When I was an elementary school student, I used to go to Snoopy Town, so I am very happy. I struggled (with voice acting) because the way you project your voice is very different from normal acting, but all of the characters were really loveable, and gave me a kind feeling.”
The 18-year old actress, who recently graduated from high school, also expressed renewed determination in her acting career. With a smile, she stated, “I want to make even more interesting works in the future.”
The Japanese dub of the Peanuts film has been retitled “Happiness is: Snoopy to Shiawase no Blanket” (Snoopy and the Blanket of Happiness), and is set for DVD release on August 12th.
