Oguri Shun and Nagasawa Masami aim for the top of Mt. Everest for “Gaku”
Oguri Shun (28) and Nagasawa Masami (23) visited Mt. Okuhotaka in Nagano prefecture on April 27th for the mountain opening ceremony. This is in relation to their upcoming movie, “Gaku“, set to be released on May 7th.
The movie is about mountain rescue, and the stars of the film have climbed and spent a lot of time at Mt. Okuhotaka, so its opening location was incredibly appropriate. Along with the ceremonial rituals, they prayed for a successful hit for their movie.
Oguri commented, “The mountain is powerful. It was fun climbing it and I never felt pain and suffering from it.” He suddenly shot a question at Nagasawa, who seemed to be caught off guard, asking, “You said you would climb a mountain right?” Nagasawa immediately answered, “Of course! My goal is to climb Mt. Everest! Oxygen free ascent…. but it would be impossible so suddenly.”
