Domoto Koichi will perform "Endless SHOCK" for 4 months in 2012

allkpop

Domoto Koichi of the group Kinki Kids, has announced on May 16th that he plans on performing his musical "Endless SHOCK" for four consecutive months. It will start in January 2012 and run until April 2012.

This year's "Endless SHOCK" was cut short because of the Tohoku Earthquake, so Domoto has decided to run it longer next year to make it up to fans. The musical is held every year at the Imperial Garden Theater, and it holds the record for the most performances (799 shows).

---

For the first time, "Endless SHOCK" will expand to Fukuoka during its 4-month run next year, and there are plans for 34 performances at Hakata-za from January 7th to January 31st. After that, 105 more performances will be at the Imperial Garden Theater from February 8th to April 30th.

It's said that the musical contains 22 steps of stairs, intense sword fights, and flying about five meters above ground, as well as singing and dancing.

Last year, Domoto talked about bringing the musical to the U.S., and how it would be great, but no other information has surfaced beyond that.

---

When the earthquake hit in March, it happened in between theintermissionbetween Act 1 and Act 2. They had 76 other shows lined up from February 5th to March 31st, but because of the earthquake, 28 of those shows were cancelled.

"Endless SHOCK" is about a small group of unknown actors in New York who have the opportinity to produce a Broadway show. Its theme is "SHOW MUST GO ON", meaning, "No matter what happens, I have to continue the show".

Obviously, because of his experience with the earthquake, the theme is engraved deeper in Koichi's heart for next year's stage run.
