“Rokudenashi BLUES” to get drama adaptation starring Gekidan EXILE’s Aoyagi Sho

Morita Masanori’s popular manga, “Rokudenashi BLUES“, will get drama adaptation on NTV starting in July.
“Rokudenashi BLUES” is originally a fighting manga, which stars main character Maeda Taison, who is fast with his hands.
It was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1988~1997, and it has been adapted to anime, live-action movies, and last year, it was also adapted to the stage performance by Gekidan EXILE.

The main character, “Maeda Taison”, will be played by Gekidan EXILE Hanagumi’s Aoyagi Sho, and Taison’s best friend, “Yamashita Katsuji”, will be other Gekidan EXILE member, Ozawa Yuta. The heroine, “Nanase Chiaki”, will be done by Ohmasa Aya, while AKB48’s Kitahara Rie plays “Imai Kazumi”, who is Chiaki’s best friend and Katsuji’s girlfriend.
Other Gekidan EXILE members, Shirahama Alan, Harukawa Kyosuke, and Akiyama Shintaro, will also appear in the drama.
Aoyagi commented, “I was very happy when my appearance on this was decided since it was my favorite manga, but I feel the pressure at the same time. We, Gekidan EXILE members, will try hard to make it enjoyable for the original manga fans who do not recognize us as well.”
“Rokudenashi BLUES” will start broadcasting on July 6th every Wednesday at 12:59 AM!
