It's been reported that talento Uehara Miyu passed away at her home in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, on May 12th.

The Meguro police department is currently investigating on whether it was possible suicide, as the star was discovered hanging by the door at her home. According to the police department, an acquaintance of Uehara's discovered her in that state and dialed 9-1-1.

Unfortunately, by the time the emergency service arrived, she was unconscious; an hour and a half later, she was confirmed dead at the hospital. As of this time, the police have yet to uncover Uehara's will or final words.

Uehara was from Tanegashima in Kagoshima prefecture, and was the youngest of a family of 10 siblings, which made her well-known as the "poverty idol".
