Tamaki Hiroshi holds a release event for “FREE”!

Actor and singer Tamaki Hiroshi recently held an event at Suidoubashi’s Tokyo Dome City in order to commemorate the release of his first single in around two years, “FREE”. For his first single after switching labels to Universal, a total of 4,000 fans over two events crowded the venue.
Appearing onstage in a stunning blue costume, Tamaki gave an embarassed grin, saying, “When I looked at myself in the mirror, I thought, ‘This costume looks like something Natsuki Yutaka-san would wear on ‘Star Dokkiri Maruhi Houkoku.’”
He stirred up his enthusiastic fans, who were cheering him on while wearing raincoats in the dreary weather, saying, “The temperature outside is dropping, so let’s raise our own. Let’s get fired up!”, and began playing his new song.
Moreover, on June 22nd, his new album “START” will go on sale, and he will have a tour beginning on July 2nd. In addition to his performance in Hong Kong last year and his first appearance in Taiwan, he will visit six cities in Japan as well.
He said eagerly, “It’s my first time doing concerts steadily in the middle of summer. I hate the heat, but I want to create an atmosphere people can enjoy.” He also promised to continue as both a singer and an actor, stating, “My aim is to keep going. I think as long as I keep doing it, it’ll work out.”
