Popular TBS sports show "SASUKE" is going to be a national project in Malaysia!

In Malaysia it's said that about 50% of people younger than the age of 30 are obese, and the Malaysian government gained interest in the unique show in hopes to solve the problem of obesity in their country.

"SASUKE" began airing in 1997 in Japan, but it is gaining world popularity, such that this summer it is planned to be aired on NBC during its prime time slots.

From May 25th to May 29th, a major event by the name of "One Million Youth Gathering" will be held, and this is when they will be shooting episodes for the show/project. They've set up an elaborate stage for the activities, as well as seating for live viewing from many people. Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will also be making an appearance that day.

Although the Japanese version of "SASUKE" has a total of four stages, the Malaysian version will only consist of the first stage and final stage. This is because an average Malaysian person's physical ability (or any average person) is not capable of finishing all four stages of the game show.

Those that do well on the Malaysian show will gain rights to be in the Japanese "SASUKE" as well, which is sure to be a treat!
