It has been revealed that actress Aso Kumiko will star in the upcoming movie, "Uchuu Kyodai", alongside Oguri Shun and Okada Masaki.

Asou will play the role of an intelligent woman named�Itou Serika, who strives to be an astronaut. She commented, "I�m a big fan of the original work, so honestly, I was happy and puzzled, but I want to walk the life of Serika-san, even if it�s for a little bit."

Actor Tsutsumi Shinichi will also star in the movie, as a JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) employee. He says, "This will be a movie where both people who are interested and un-interested in space will feel excitement and ambition."

Other cast members include�Inoue Yoshio, Arai Hirofumi, Hamada Gaku, and Shiomi Sansei.

The filming for "Uchuu Kyodai" began in April, and with the full cooperation of JAXA, it is scheduled to wrap up in July.
