Gravure idol�Hara Mikie has transformed herself into the shapeshifting mutant "Mystique" from the Marvel Comic series, "X-MEN"!

The model showed up at the "X-MEN: First Generation" event at Toho Twin Towers building in Chiyodaku, and she said she was very excited to tranform into the character.

Egawa Etsuko is the special make-up artist who worked on Hara's transformation for three hours. Egawa has previously worked on other films' special make-up, including�Ghost Busters and Captain EO.

Hara noted that it was her first time doing this type of special make-up and that she didn't expect it to take so long. When Egawa was finished, Hara was really surprised with the finished look because she had completely changed.

Also, four lucky fans (out of 40) were chosen at random to be transformed into "Mystique" (only the face) at the event.
