It's been announced that Lady Gaga's song "THE EDGE OF GLORY" was chosen as the theme song for TV Asahi's upcoming drama "Jiu Keishicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari" which will start airing in July. "THE EDGE OF GLORY" is one of the tracks from Lady Gaga's latest album "BORN THIS WAY" which reached No.1 on the rankings in many countries including Japan. �This will be the first time for Lady Gaga to be the theme song for any Japanese drama.

As tokyohive reported previously, Kuroki Meisa and Tabe Mikako will star in this drama as female detectives, and it is a thrill & suspense drama based on Honda Tetsuya's big hit novel.



Gaga will also be performing at "MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN" (June 25th at Makuhari Messe), so there's a good chance that the fans should expect to see her perform to this song.
