Koda Kumi to sing the opening theme for “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de”

It’s been announced that Koda Kumi will be singing the opening theme song for upcoming drama, “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” which will start airing on October 18th through Fuji TV.  The opening theme will be ”Love Me Back” which is a medium tempo song with Koda’s sexy voice. Koda participated in writing lyrics after she read the script of the drama.  It was also revealed that for the music video of the song, Koda will cosplay a “sexy police” officer.

Koda commented, “The drama is very fresh because of its story direction that isn’t too serious, and full of humor.  I believe I was able to make a song that matches well with the drama.”

As reported earlier, “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” is based on Higashigawa Tokuya’s mystery novel, and Arashi member Sakurai Sho will star in the drama with the heroine Kitagawa Keiko. The main theme song of the drama will be Arashi’s “Meikyu Love Song.”

Koda’s new song “Love Me Back” is scheduled to be released on November 30th.

    Oh yeah and that one person was trying to make me look stupid or something simply because I just (seriously in a not so super serious manner) wanted to see soloist back up there ^^;;  Kumi is one of my favs so I’m very happy (and actually surprised) her song will be used at the opening ^^ Just thought it would only be Arashi’s song (and I’m not crazy for their songs.. I only liked 3 of their songs… and they were used as themes. A Day in Our Life, truth, & Beautiful Days) so if this new song sounds similar to those 3 songs.. well I might like it lol.

    koda kumi to be part of sakurai sho’s drama’s ost? that’s great! i was almost under impression idols will get full manipulation of ALL songs (like opening theme, end theme, main theme, all other themes etc) if you base it on some people complaining at the absence of solo artists. so this is wonderful news^^

    LOL… When I first read the title of this post, I thought that Arashi won’t be releasing a single for this song anymore till I read the sentence, “The main theme song of the drama would be Arashi’s ‘Meikyu Love Song.’” LOL…

    …No and if that comment is in some directed towards me I already know that there are plenty of soloists who sing theme songs in dramas (all you gotta do is go to dramawiki or, omg, just hear it in the drama) Please don’t add your own words to my previous comment because I never did mention anything about soloists and theme songs.
