On September 10th, it was announced that singer-songwriter�Cocco�s starring movie 'KOTOKO' (directed by Tsukamoto Shinya) received an Orizzonti prize at the �68th Venice International Film Festival�. �The Venice International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world.
The film�tells the story of a woman who tries very hard to raise a child, but the struggle eventually destroys the balance in her life. �It is said to be based on�Cocco�s�real-life experiences. �Filming for the movie was completed just one day before its showing at the film festival.
Director Tsukamoto, who received this prize, said, �I want to dedicate this to Cocco, who poured all her energy for this movie. Right now, Japan is a place of sorrow and I worry about my important people who live there. So, I want to dedicate this to them as well�, then gave his dedication speech to the audience.
