Kato Kazuki & Date Koji to form a unit “JOKER” & release a debut single in December

It’s been announced that singer/actor, Kato Kazuki and singer songwriter, Date Koji will be forming a new unit named “JOKER“, and they will release their debut single “No.1” on December 7th. Kato announced this last month when he held a release event for his best album “K.K Bestsellers” (released on September 14th), and he offered to the public for the name of the unit.
The unit name “JOKER” includes a hope to be the unit like a joker for the bewildered Japanese music industry, and reportedly, their debut song became a manlike Japanese rock song.
Date is who Kato has co-stared in musical “Prince of Tennis”, and he debuted from Imperial Records with album “Konna Jidai dakara” in 2009.
