Watarirouka Hashiritai 7's new single, "Kibou Sanmyaku", has been picked up to be the opening theme song for anime series "Crayon Shin-chan"! Their song will start playing on November 4th's episode.

"Crayon Shin-Chan" has been airing since April of 1992, and it's garnered a substantial fanbase since then. Member Watanabe Mayu is a fan herself, and felt delighted about this collaboration. "I was very happy when I heard we could sing for 'Crayon Shin-chan', which I have been watching since I was little," she said.

As for the song, "Kibou Sanmyaku", it's been described to have the "Showa taste". Fans can expect to hear a positive track with the theme, "A rooters' song for the Japanese"; it also carries elements that remind one of the 1970s ~ 1980s.

Additionally, the�choreography involves a comical dance said to be very "Watarirouka Hashiritai 7-like". Member Kikuchi Ayaka revealed, "Since both the song and the dance are really easy, I will be happy to see all of you dance to it together hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder."

"Kibou Sanmyaku" is scheduled to be released on November 30th.
