Earlier this month, we reported that AKB48�s Kashiwagi Yuki was being treated at the hospital and would be absent from handshake events. On November 13th, Kashiwagi Yuki wrote a blog entry explaining what had happened.

The entry explained that fellow member Akimoto Sayaka substituted Kashiwagi in her absence. Though she felt guilty, Akimoto sent an encouraging message, saying, "We're friends, so this is also teamwork ^^!"

She apologized to people who had been looking forward to the events & bought tickets, and those who came from far away the day before. Kashiwagi explained, �I wanted to go to the concert and handshake events no matter what, but my little cold got worse and turned into a mild case of pneumonia��

Team B�s captain explained that she didn�t want to infect fans or the other members, so after visiting the hospital, Kashiwagi began medical treatments at home. However, she also shared some good news for fans, �More than anything else, your guys� comments give me the power to feel better ^^ Thanks to that, my fever has gone down now and my cough and other symptoms have also gone away. So, after today I will be able to come back to work! I�m really sorry for not taking care of my health and causing so many people to worry.�

Kashiwagi is set to return to her activities tomorrow. Welcome back, but please continue to take care of yourself!
