Sakai Masato & Nakatani Miki to star in a new animal movie "Himawari to Koinu no 7-kakan"

Movie studio Shochiku announced that they will be making a new movie "Himawari to Koinu no 7-kakan" (directed by Hiramatsu Emiko) starring Sakai Masato (38) and Nakatani Miki (35). �The movie will be centered around an animal control center in Miyazaki and it will be another heart-warming animal movie by Shochiku that has been making many animal movies such as "Quill" and "Kinako."

This is a true story about a mother Shiba Inu dog named "Himawari" and her three�puppies that were sent to the animal control center in Miyazaki. �It will show the 7 days of "Himawari" who tried hard to protect her puppies, and the miracles made by the staff members at the center who were touched by the motherly love of "Himawari." �This story has been featured on some TV programs, and now Shochiku will be making a movie about it.

The movie includes a message of "To protect a life to the end", and Sakai who will play a staff member at the control center. The location of the movie, Miyazaki is also where Saikai is from, therefore, Sakai said, "This is my first time playing a role who is from my hometown. I have been dreaming to act with an accent that is familiar to me."

The heroine of the movie, Nakatani will play the role of an animal doctor, and this will be the second time for Sakai and Nakatani to co-star with each other.

"Himawari to Koinu no 7-kakan" is�scheduled�to be released in spring 2013.
