AKB48’s Watanabe Mayu to make a solo debut in February
It was announced that AKB48 member, Watanabe Mayu (17) will be making her solo debut with the single “Synchro Tokimeki” set to be released on February 29th 2012. Watanabe will be the 4th AKB48 member to make a solo debut after Maeda Atsuko (20), Itano Tomomi (20), and Iwasa Misaki (16).
It was also announced that Watanabe’s solo debut song will be used as the theme song for a new drama on TV Tokyo (title currently unknown) which Watanabe will star in for the first time. The drama will start airing on January 13th.
Watanabe stated that she is aiming to top the Oricon chart.
