It was announced that AKB48 member, Watanabe Mayu (17) will be making her solo debut with the single "Synchro Tokimeki" set to be released on February 29th 2012. �Watanabe will be the 4th AKB48 member to make a solo debut after Maeda Atsuko (20), Itano Tomomi (20), and Iwasa Misaki (16).
It was also announced that Watanabe's solo debut song will be used as the theme song for a new drama on TV Tokyo (title currently unknown) which Watanabe will star in for the first time. �The drama will start airing on January 13th.
Watanabe stated that she is aiming to top the Oricon chart.
