Actress Kuriyama Chiaki attended the press conference which was held at a church in Tokyo,�for the upcoming CG animation film "Dragon Age -Blood Mage no Seisen-".
Kuriyama voice acts the main character "Cassandra", and this is the first time for her to take the lead role for a full-length anime film. �Kuriyama commented, "I was able to enjoy it, since it felt like as if I was acting for a live-action movie. �I swear it will be something that is worth watching, because I seriously put a lot into it."
The anime film is based on a role-playing video game "Dragon Age: Origins" (developed by BioWare/published by Electronic Arts) that was released in 2009, and Jeffrey Scott who is�the story writer for the original game, took charge of the screenplay for the anime film. �Reportedly, the story will be the preceding chapter for the sequel to the game "Dragon Age 2" (will be released on�February 2nd in Japan for PS3/Xbox360).
At the press conference, other cast members, Tanihara Shosuke who plays "Regalyan" and GACKT who plays the "Knight Commander", as well as the director Sori Fumihiko also showed up, and�it was announced that GACKT's song "Until The Last Day" has been chosen as the theme song for the anime film.
"Dragon Age -Blood Mage no Seisen-" will be released on February 11th 2012.
