Perfume becomes 2nd girl group to achieve 3 consecutive Number 1 albums

It’s been 12 years since a girl group has had three consecutive Number 1 albums. The first to achieve this was veteran pop group SPEED and joining them now is 3-member group Perfume, who just released their fourth album “JPN” on November 30th.
The group sold 227,000 for the first week of sales, taking the first spot on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking chart.
The album makes it their third consecutive Number 1 album along with “GAME” (2008), and “Triangle” (2009).
