It’s been announced that a spin-off drama of “Ouran High School Host Club” will begin distribution as a “LISMO drama” (a mobile drama provied by au). The spin-off is called “Ouran High School Host Club~Haruhi no Happy Birthday Daisakusen~“, and will star Kawaguchi Haruna.

“Ouran High School Host Club” was previously aired as a drama series on TBS from July to September, and it’s become so popular that it will also get a movie adaptation with the same cast members (scheduled to be released on March 17th). 

This LISMO drama will tell an original story, whose plot was worked on by the author of the manga, Hatori Bisco. Fans will get to follow a day in the life of the host club members before their impending school festival. Kawaguchi, who plays the protagonist ‘Fujioka Haruhi’, commented, “You will see an explosion of this well-known bright and silly character! It was fun playing the role, and all the host club members enjoyed the filming.” Each episode will be about five minutes long, and there will be four episodes in total.

“Ouran High School Host Club~Haruhi no Happy Birthday Daisakusen~” will begin broadcasting on January 6th, 2012.
