“Rurouni Kenshin” manga to restart serialization on ‘Jump SQ’

It’s been announced that Watsuki Nobuhiro’s epic manga, “Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-“, will restart its serialization through the June issue of Jump SQ (which will be released in May).
“Rurouni Kenshin” got serialized through Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994, and it became so popular that it got an anime adaptation in 1996. The total number of copies printed for the manga (28 volumes in total) exceeded the figure of 50,000,000; the manga was translated and distributed to 23 different countries. Though the serialization ended in 1999, it will be revived again after 13 years.
Details about the new serialization have been kept under wraps, including the story and its characters.
“Rurouni Kenshin” will also be released as a live-action movie starring Sato Takeru and Takei Emi, and is scheduled to be released in August 25th.
