DIR EN GREY to halt their activities
DIR EN GREY has announced that they will be putting a halt to their activities due to the health of vocalist Kyo.
tokyohive previously reported that Kyo was diagnosed with vocal cord nodule and voice disorder. As a result, the band canceled their North American tour which was scheduled for this spring.
At the moment, Kyo’s disorder does not pose a major obstacle to his day-to-day life. However, he must refrain from using his voice, and rest as much as possible. Surgery may be required depending on the progress of his recovery.
The members left a comment on their official website saying, “We apologize from the bottom of our hearts for the trouble this has caused our fans and everyone concerned. We hope you will understand that this is a difficult decision as a band. We are always thankful for the support from our fans.”
