Singer-songwriter Ayaka will be providing the new theme song for NTV's news program, 'NEWS ZERO'.
The song, titled "Tsuyoku Omou", is the first song Ayaka's has writtensince resuming her activities. It will be used on the program starting April 2nd.
Ayaka commented, "I hope from the bottom of my heart that this song will become the 'strength' for the program and those who watch it."
The program first aired back in 2006, which is also Ayaka's debut year. They've teamed up for various projects in the past, and Ayaka's continued to display 'the power of music'. She's held a live concert to support patients withmucopolysaccharidosis, and has also held a Budokan live for children battling childhood cancer.
Producer Yamazaki Daisuke explained his reason for choosing Ayaka saying, "Right now, Japan is trying to rise up from adverse circumstances. Ayaka-san, who has experienced the pain of going on hiatus is the only one who can do this. I thought about putting it on the 'power of music' that she believes in."
It's been 5 and a half years since 'NEWS ZERO' started, to commemorate this occasion, the program will renew their opening and studio starting in April. They have also added actressKiritani Mirei and talento Horan Chiaki to the program.
