The additional cast members for Ayase Haruka's upcoming film, 'Himitsu no Akko-chan', have been revealed!

In the movie, Akko-chan transforms into a 22-year-old college student who works for a cosmetics company.�The executive director of the company will be played by Tanihara Shosuke, the security guard by Tsukaji Muga, and Akko-chan's rival by�Fukiishi Kazue.

Also,�Kagawa Teruyuki will challenge himself by taking on the role of "the spirit of the mirror", a character that only appears in the original manga series.

'Himitsu no Akko-chan' is based on�Akatsuka Fujio's popular manga of the same title that was first serialized in the manga magazine, 'Ribbon', back in 1962. The original story revolves around an elementary school girl who loves fashion. After receiving a magical compact mirror, she is able to transform into whatever she wishes.

It was also revealed that Yoshida Riko will portray the 10-year-old Akko-chan, and her mother will be played by Horiuchi Keiko. Aside from these characters, the movie will star Osugi Ren as the former company president, Uchida Shungiku as the Prime Minister, Hijii Mika as an office lady,�Kakizawa Hayato as a school teacher, and Motai Masako as a key person in the film.

'Himitsu no Akko-chan' will be directed by Kawamura Yasuhiro and written by Yamaguchi Masatoshi. It is scheduled to open in theaters on September 1st.
