Raphael announces comeback live after 12 years
Visual kei band Raphael has announced that they will be holding their comeback live, “Raphael Saien ‘Tenshi no Hinoki Butai’”, at Zepp Tokyo!
Raphael made their major debut in 1999 with members YUKI (Vo), Kazuki (G), YUKITO (B), and HIRO (Dr). At only 18 years old, the band accomplished their first Nippon Budokan live in March of 2000. In October of the same year, Kazuki suddenly passed away due to a tranquilizer overdose. The band then put a halt to their activities after their nationwide tour in January of 2001.
YUKI, YUKITO, and HIRO decided to hold this comeback live after many discussions. Through their official website, YUKI commented, “The last day of October 2010. It all started when I stood in front of Kazuki’s grave that I made a resolve to take the stage again.”
He also expressed his gratitude to fans saying, “Until today, we have been saved many times by [our] fans’ love. We were taught the courage and meaning of living in the music world.”
The comeback live will be held over a period of two days on October 31st and November 1st. Ticket pre-reservations will be available through their official website from April 9th to the 22nd.
