In the July issue of manga magazine 'Cookie', it was revealed that popular series �Akazukin Chacha� will be serialized again for the first time in 12 years! The re-serialization of the series will begin in the August issue of Cookie, which is hitting shelves on June 26. The new series, called �Akazukin Chachan N�, is set in Tokyo.
Manga �Akazukin Chacha� was a popular comic written by Ayahana Min, and was serialized on �Ribon� from 1992 � 2000. The original series was set at a school in a fantasy world, Urara Gakuen, and told the adventures of a young magical girl Chacha and her childhood friend Riiya. This series ended with the release of its 13th volume. In addition, two one-shots were published in the May 2011 and January 2012 issues of Cookie as well.
The anime of this series was broadcast on�TV Tokyo back in �94 and �95, and features voice actress Suzuki Masami as Chacha and SMAP�s Katori Shingo as Riiya. The opening theme song of the anime adaptation, SMAP�s �Kimiiro Omoi�, was made popular through this series.
