On May 29th, actor Yamamoto Taro announced his marriage to a younger, non-celebrity woman through Twitter.� When they met two years ago, they were said to be merely friends, but in April of this year, they were reunited and after just one month, they got married.

On the evening of May 29th, Yamamoto tweeted, �I went to city hall.� For a special thing (laughs).�� At the time of his first tweet, it was unclear what he did at city hall, but approximately 30 minutes later, he tweeted, �I got married!� and also tweeted, �I was surprised!� I won�t say about what, but this is because I am the most surprised. (laughs).�

Since the Tohoku earthquake, Yamamoto has been known to engage in anti-nuclear protests.� Yamamto continued with, �In a world where we do not know how the future will look, I am not saying that I am not concerned about the issues of having a family,� and explained that regarding his wife, �She is an odd person who said that she understands my present situation, supports me, and will stay by my side.�
