It's been announced that Superfly will be providing both the theme song and image song for the upcoming film, 'Yamikin Ushijima-kun'!

The theme song, titled "The Bird Without Wings", was written just for the movie. Vocalist Ochi Shiho commented on the creation of the song saying, "Everyone lives each day while holding onto their handicaps, while holding onto their anxiety. Even so, we must press forward. I portrayed the trouble and determination of our hearts."

Meanwhile, the image song will be Superfly's new number called "No Bandage".

'Yamikin Ushijima-kun' is based on a popular manga by Manabe Shohei that's being serialized in the magazine, 'Weekly Big Comic Spirits'. This is the sequel to the drama series, which aired on TBS from October to December of 2010. Like the drama, it will be also directed by Yamaguchi Masatoshi.

Actor Yamada Takayuki will reprise the role of protagonist 'Ushijima Kaoru'. Also appearing in the movie are AKB48's Oshima Yuko, Hayashi Kento, Sakimoto Hiromi, Ichihara Hayato, and manga artist Uchida Shungiku.

Superfly will release "The Bird Without Wings" on August 15th, and 'Yamikin Ushijima-kun' will open in theaters across Japan on August 25th.
