On September 1st, the opening day stage greeting for the movie 'Himitsu no Akko-chan' was held at the Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo. The greeting was attended by Ayase Haruka, Okada Masaki, Fukiishi Kazue, Osugi Ren, Kagawa Teruyuki, Yoshida Riko, and director Kawamura Yasuhiro.

Especially Ayase gained most of the attention and not just because of her typical silliness that people love about her. She was attending the event with 14 cm tall kill heel boots and must have underestimated them a bit, as she was seen fighting with her balance a couple of times. At the beginning of the greeting she actually tripped and crashed into Kagawa.

Ayase tried to hide her embarrassed grin behind his back, while he just joked, "What are you doing? This is dangerous!" Fukiishi added, "You tripped again?" Okada and the others also couldn't help but laugh. Ayase then grasped the microphone and apologized while blushing, "I'm sorry, I kind of lost my focus. I'll be more careful now." Her fans encouraged her and told her to calm down.

Eventually she continued, "The filming took place from October until December last year. I'm very happy that it's finally going to open in cinemas. Even if it won't be long, please enjoy this little talk session."

Okada looked back at the filming and remembered a similar incident, "In one scene Ayase is sitting on a chair and is rolling towards me, but she put too much strength into it and collided with me." She was surprised and embarrassed that he had to continue picking on her.

She concluded the greeting with a perfect rendition of Akko-chan's most famous line, "Tekumaku mayakon~ tekumaku mayakon~ Lamipus Lamipus lu lu lu lu lu~ Please make many people go and see this movie!"

'Himitsu no Akko-chan' is based on the first ever magical girl manga, which was released 50 years ago and has spawned numerous anime adaptation and inspired works since then. It revolves around the the 10-year-old elementary school girl Kagami 'Akko-chan' Atsuko (Yoshida) who transforms into a 22-year-old college student (Ayase) thanks to a magical compact mirror in order to watch over her first love (Okada) at a cosmetics company in secret.
