Aragaki Yui chosen as the celebrity host for ‘Japan Record Awards’
On December 8th, it was announced that actress Aragaki Yui has been chosen as the host for TBS’ annual music awards show, ‘The 54th Kagayaku! Japan Record Awards‘ that will be aired on the 30th.
Aragaki commented, “This will be my first time participating in this show. I’m little anxious honestly, but I would like to prepare physically and mentally, and want to fulfill my duty sufficiently so that everybody can enjoy it as the completion of this year. I’ll do my best and enjoy it!”
Together with Aragaki, TBS announcer Azumi Shinichiro will also take part as a host. Azumi has been a host assistant since 2001. Now, after 12 years, he will receive the baton from Sakai Masaaki, who had been the host for 16 years.
On the 30th, the winner of the grand prize, “Japan Record Award“, will be chosen among the 10 winners of the “Best Song” category, while “Best New Artist” will be chosen among the 4 winners of the “New Artist” category. (You can check our previous post for the nominees for those awards.)
