Hasegawa Hiroki to play an unlicensed doctor in upcoming drama
On February 27, it was announced that actor Hasegawa Hiroki will star in NTV’s serial drama “Kumo no Kaidan (tentative title)” which will begin airing in April. The drama is based on the novel by Watanabe Junichi, who is known for his novel “Shitsurakuen”, and Hasegawa will star as the unlicensed doctor Aikawa Saburo.
This is the first NTV drama that Hasegawa will star in since he last appeared in the big hit drama “Kaseifu no Mita”.
The drama is set on a sparsely populated island in the Izu Islands. The two women are Suzuki Akiko, the clinic’s nurse, and Tasaka Akiko, the daughter of the director of a major hospital in Tokyo. The roles will be played by actresses Inamori Izumi and Kimura Fumino, respectively. Additionally, Muraki, the head of the island’s clinic will be played by singer and actor Otomo Kohei, and Tasaka Yuichiro, Akiko’s father, will be played by actor Naito Takashi.
