Kato Miliyah has written a new song called "EMOTION", which will be used as the theme song for TBS' upcoming drama, 'Houkago Groove' (starts April 22nd).
The drama centers around a dance class during physical education at a junior high school. 'Houkago Groove' is a school drama starring Takanashi Rin, whoplays a physical education teacher and formerdelinquent ('yankee').
Kato wrote and composed the song after reading the drama's script. She commented, "Right now is a timewhen dance is becoming a familiar thing to people. I think it turned out to be a song that people can feel the joy of dancing to feelings. Even in my performances, dance is of important existence, so it's great that I was able to make a song that makes me want to dance because of this drama!"
"EMOTION" has also been chosen as one of the songs for 'Zenkoku Chuugakkou Rhythm Dance Fureai Competition' (tentative). In this event, junior high school students from all over Japan will come together to compete in various dance genres such as rock and hip hop. The final selection will be held in late-December at Akasaka BLITZ.
