This lady has more issues in one year than anyone I've ever seen in Japan. Ever since last year�s scandal, singer/actress Noriko Sakai (39) has had nothing but trouble. She was dropped from her company, lost all her endorsements, her family, and now is (finally) being sued for all the damages she�s caused.

For those who are unaware, Noriko Sakai was indicted on charges of drug possession (and I think drug use) last September. After the verdict her agency Sun Music and label Victor Entertainment both dismissed Sakai. Victor Entertainment pulled Sakai�s entire catalogue from all the music stores.

The financial loss grossed at 500 million yen. Sun Music took a big hit by taking responsibility on all of Sakai�s broken contracts. She had endorsements with Arax and Toyota and all her merchandise related to her fashion label �PP rikorino.�

Now she is being sued for 21 million yen in damages. Not just her but her former agency as well. Both party�s went to court on 6/15 to dispute the charges.

Sakai was the voice of Dai-chan�s mother in the animated film �Dai-chan Daisuki.� The film was complete in June of 2007 but was not able to release any DVDs, TV broadcasts because of the problems caused by Noriko. The film is actually an educational film that is shown in schools across Japan.

Why are both of them being sued? Because Sun Music dismissed Noriko, they are being sued for breach of obligation. For those of you who are curious, the Tokyo prosecutors wanted Sakai to stay in prison for eighteen months, but the Tokyo courts delayed her jail term until November 9, 2012, as long as she stays good and clean.
