During his 30th anniversary concert last March, musician Sano Motoharu (54) announced that he will team up with director Tsutsumi Yukihiko (54) to produce �Coyote, Umi e�, a special drama starring Hayashi Kento (19).

Incorporating themes of liberation and reconcilation, the drama tells the story of 'Haru' (Hayashi) whose father (played by Sano Shiro) suddenly disappeared from his life. To know more about his father, Haru leaves for New York, where he experiences his first exposure to 'Beat Generation' culture - through which he eventually understands his father. A scene from the special drama was shared, revealing Hayashi doing a poetry reading in Manhattan�s historic St. Mark�s Church.

The script for the drama was written by Sano, and is more or less based on his own experiences when he was in New York. Naturally, the film will be set there, but will also include places in Japan and Brazil. As it is really Sano�s personal project, it will only use his music.

�Coyote, Umi e� will be broadcasted in WOWOW in January 2011.
