Major talent agency 'Horipro' announced that the "36th Horipro Talent Scout Caravan" will make a stop in Los Angeles this year.

The agency's scout caravan was the first step in the career for many great stars such as Fukada Kyoko, Ayase Haruka, and Ishihara Satomi. This year they're focusing on discovering many new voice-actresses and due to the basic requirements of being good enough in Japanese to have a normal conversation, regardless of one's nationality, the agency already received many applications from overseas.

In particular, anime fans and Japanese people living in America seem to be highly interested in becoming a voice actress, therefore the agency decided to make it easier for them to audition by bringing the caravan over to Los Angeles that has already gained a lot of attention thanks to its well-attended 'Anime Expo'.� The audition will be held at the 'Horipro Music Academy' on August 27th. Horipro already started to advertise the audition through several media outlets in Los Angeles, increasing the number of applications even further. Any girl between the age of twelve and twenty-two who can converse in Japanese was able to send in their applications.

In Japan the caravan will start in Fukushima on August 5th and even tour through all six prefectures of the Tohoku region in form of a special 'Tohoku Caravan", in order to make it easier for those affected by the earthquake back in March to participate and pursue their dream.

The finals will be held in at the 'Shinagawa Stellar Ball' in Tokyo on October 10th.
