X JAPAN completes their first European tour, plans for Japan Dome Tour

allkpop

Rock band X JAPAN reached their final concert stop of their first European tour on July 4th (July 5th in Japan) at Berlin's Columbia Hall. In the course of one week, they traveled to four different countries and gave strong performances that drove local fans wild.

After their final performance, X JAPANs leader YOSHIKI responded to a call from Sanspo in which he expressed his desires for a Dome Tour in Japan next year. He passionately said, Up to this point, we still have not done very much. I want to capture the attention of the world!!

After running the course of their European tour, X JAPAN plans to once again return to Japan as a strong unit.

While on a bus to London, YOSHIKI emotionally reflected over how In Berlin, I was even more touched by the liveliness than during our North American tour. Now, I will reflect on the past. I think our European tour was a big success. He continued, Our next live performance will be in Japan at 'Summer Sonic' (August 13, 14). Though we are still in discussions and have not yet made an official decision, we are thinking about a Dome Tour. Due to the support of our fans in Japan, we have been able to come this far, (so that is why we are thinking about a Japanese tour).

Currently, the band has been given offers to perform in more than 30 different countries. In September, they will perform in South America; starting in October, they will carry out their first Asian tour; and it's been decided that next year, they will carry out their second North American and European tours. We are thinking about a 3rd tour for all of our tours. In this tour, we have reached the level where the doors are gradually opening for us. From this pointonward, we do not have to be as persistent. Through all of these experiences, we want to show everyone X JAPAN.

At their Berlin performance, which attracted an audience of 4,000, the band performed their international debut single JADE, their new song Born To Be Free, X and many other songs.

For this tour, instead of the hundreds of staff members that would have been involved if the concerts were in Japan, a mere 28 people were involved and the members tuned their own instruments. Even while traveling from each location, the members and staff used two buses and carried out tasks as a group. As this was a return to their original roots, the bonds of Team X grew even deeper.

YOSHIKI mused, At last, we became a band in a state of militaristic preparedness.
