On July 5th, actor Yamada Takayuki attended a press conference for his upcoming drama, "?Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro".

Yamada greeted everyone, "I am Mr. Yamada," and continued, "From the start, I did whatever I want. Because we are in these times, this is a drama that doesn't really require thinking or learning. It's a funny drama."

The drama is an original work, and will air at midnight on Friday's "Drama 24" slot. The story is about a kind and honest young man named�Yoshihiko (Yamada), who sets out on a quest for medicinal herb that could cure a mysterious plague, and to search for his father. Kinami Haruka will play the role of Murasaki, Yoshihiko's rival,�Muro Tsuyoshi will take the role of the wizard,�Merebu, and Okamoto Azusa will play Yoshihiko's younger sister, Hisa. Other cast members include�Sato Jiro and Takuma Shin.

Producer Fukuda Yuichi revealed, "We were told that we had a low budget, but because we were low on budget, we had riskier battle scenes that we couldn't participate in before." Muro merrily stated, "This is my first time at a press conference," and Takuma said, "I've fought in dramas before, but this was my first time fighting with cardboard." Sato, who has just wrapped up the popular drama, "Jin", exposed, "In 'Jin', it took an hour putting on special make-up to get the shaved-head look, but this time, it took 7 seconds. I felt the dynamism of this slot on TV Tokyo."
