Previously, we reported that Saito Takumi would be starring in a new drama called "QP". On September 13th, additional cast members for the drama were revealed!
"QP" is a manga written by Takahashi Hiroshi that was serialized on 'Young King' from 1998 to 2000. This drama adaptation will be based on "QP Gaiden", which features the character "Azuma Ryo" (played by Saito), a man who lost his voice from getting shot in the throat. Some characters not included in the original manga will be found in the drama.
Saito will be joined by Kaneko Nobuaki, Watabe Gota, Hayashi Kento, and EXILE's KENCHI. Kaneko and Watabe will be playing a professional killer pair called 'Tom and Jerry', while Hayashi plays as 'Misaki Gen', who used to be a boxer, but gave up on his dream after damaging his fist. KENCHI, meanwhile, landed the role of 'Mario', who is a member of "Tenroukai."
The drama has also cast Kubota Masataka (as 'Eiji'), Watanabe Dai (as 'Kimitsuka Ryosuke'), Yabe Kyosuke (as 'Hachiya Kanemitsu'), Taguchi Tomorowo (as 'Hiko'), and Shiina Kippei (as 'Kitajima Jin').
"QP" will start broadcasting on October 5th through Nihon TV.
