On June 11th, actress Kawashima Umika became the store manager for a day at the flagship store of 'K-SWISS' in Harajuku, Tokyo.

It was her first part-time job experience in her life. "I'm very nervous," she commented, "But I'm also very happy, since I always longed for such an experience."

'K-SWISS' also appointed Kawashima as their 'it girl' - their 2012 brand icon and appointed her as a model for their spring/summer catalog, together with special appearances by fellow members from idol group 9nine. At the event, she did a great job as a manager, served various customers and even gave her advice to customers trying to find a perfect new outfit, all while wearing a cute outfit by 'K-SWISS' herself.

Kawashima commented, "The other day I was also wearing K-SWISS clothes for gym class at my university. It didn't disturb me during the exercises and it made me look fashionable. I want to wear more clothes with short sleeves now that we are approaching the summer."

Looking back at the shooting for the catalog, she said, "It made me all cheery wearing so many pretty clothes. We all had been in very high spirits and kept on dancing during the whole shooting. I can't wait to wear various clothes again for the fall/winter catalog. I'll try my best to make more people wear this brand's clothes!"
