C-ute holds a fan event on 'C-ute Day'
On September 10th, idol group C-ute held their event, 'September 10th is C-ute Day', at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo.
Prior to the event, the girls held a press conference where they stated, "It's an important day for C-ute that comes once a year." Okai Chisato gave the appeal of the group saying, "I have confidence that our performances won't lose to other groups." Meanwhile, leader Yajima Maimi shared the group's goal: "It's our dream to hold C-ute Day at an arena or dome."
On their new song "Aitai Aitai Aitaina", the girls were asked who they'd like to meet. Nakajima Saki replied, "I love foreign celebrities, so anybody would do. I think they would smell good." Okai also answered, "Himuro Kyosuke-san. I've always loved BOØWY, so I want to meet him so much to the point that I tremble."
'September 10th is C-ute Day' is an annual event that's been held since 2006. For their 7th 'C-ute Day' event, the girls invited 1,700 fans who were chosen by lottery. C-ute performed a total of 17 tracks, including "Massara Blue Jeans" and "Edo no Temari Uta 2". The members also performed solo songs and skits, and shot the PV for their new single's coupling track, "Kanashiki Heaven".
During the encore, Hagiwara Mai called out, "Otsu curry rice!" ('Otsukaresamadesu'), and enjoyed the response from the fans. Yajima also expressed, "I was happy that everyone's warm feelings were delivered."
Finally, Suzuki Airi said, "Please keep September 10th of next year free," which caused the crowd to scream, "Yay!"
