Popular rock unit B'z's 25th anniversary best-of albums "B'z The Best XXV 1988-1998" and "B'z The Best XXV 1999-2012" sold 386,000 copies and 377,000 copies during the first week respectively, and dominated No.1 and No.2 of the Oricon's weekly album ranking.

This is the first time for B'z to dominate the first and second places on the chart, including for both singles and albums. It proved B'z' long-sustained popularity, even after almost a quarter of a century since their debut on September 21st 1988.

With these albums, B'z updated their own records for "the number of chart topping albums," which is now 26 albums as well as 45,669,000  "total number of albums sold."

These 2 best-of albums are comprised of all of B'z' previous singles in released order and 4 new songs.
