'Kiyoku Yawaku' starring Okada Masaki & Nagasawa Masami reveals poster and first teaser clip
Both actors can be seen in the poster that transmits a romantic feeling with the orange evening sun and the two protagonists just moments away from kissing each other. In the bottom half of the poster they can been seen looking at the sky and thinking about each other.
The 30-second long teaser starts with 'Seto Kanna' (Nagasawa) asking herself, "Can someone who lost a precious person be able to love another person again?" Kanna lost her childhood friend in a traffic accident during the summer of her first year of high school and has been living with a scarred heart ever since. Okada plays 'Akazawa Roku' who shares a similar painful past and tries to free Kanna from those lingering feelings.
The original manga was serialized in "Cookie" from 2004 ~ 2010, and it received a Kodansha Manga Award in the Shojo category back in 2009. The story features the growth and romance of young people who try to overcome the sorrow of losing a precious person. It was written in an omnibus style, and this movie adaptation will focus on the climax episode of the manga series.
'Kiyoku Yawaku' is directed by Shinjo Takehiko ('Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru', 'Paradise Kiss') and is slated for a release on October 26th. Aside from Okada and Nagasawa as the two protagonists, the movie also features the appearances of Kora Kengo, Nakamura Aoi, and Furukawa Yuki among others.
