Actor Mukai Osamu (31) and actress Katagiri Hairi (51) will play siblings in the movie 'Onodera no Ototo, Onodera no Ane' directed by Nishida Masafumi and to be released in the fall this year.

The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Nishida, who was previously in charge of the script for "Youkai Ningen Bem" starring Kamenashi Kazuya (27), and anime "TIGER & BUNNY".

'Onodera no Ototo, Onodera no Ane' will be his first time directing.

Just last summer, the novel was adapted into a play with a different story featuring both Mukai and Katagiri, and now, it will be made into a film with the same story from the original novel this time.

The heartwarming story is about a pair of siblings who live together in a tiny house, and make awkward attempts to bring each other happiness. Mukai commented, "The director wrote the original and the screenplay, so I think I will look forward to how he brings out the interesting parts from among the lines as we shoot the movie." As for his relationship with his "older sister" in the movie, he said, "It is charming how they think too much of each other and clumsily cares for the other".
