This marks his first starring drama in 2 years, and it's also his very first starring drama on TV Tokyo.



The drama is based on on-going manga being serialized on Weekly Manga Goraku that is written by Hijikata Yuho and illustrated by Tanaka Akio.

Set in Asakusa, Tokyo, the story revolves around a small detective agency that is comprised of three people -- the "chief", a researcher "Muraki" (Odagiri), and a receptionist "Megumi" --. They solve various strange requests brought in to the agency in their own way.

It will be directed and scripted by One Hitoshi who was also in charge of the direction and script for previous TV Tokyo dramas like "Moteki" and "Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi".

"River's Edge Okawabata Tanteisha" will air starting in April on TV Tokyo.
