Its great to see all the AKB48 are getting a chance to be in the center. I'm very happy to see Mayu win and would love to have Yuki win senbatsu next year.

Didn't expect Mayu to win tbh, so I was shocked and happy at the same time. She's so graceful handling it, I can't believe the girl shed so little tears when she has been expecting it since 5 years ago. The crowd was wild chanting her name, this is in contrast with last year. No offense to Sasshi, not her fault, but it's truth that her winning wasn't well accepted.

I'm happy that Sayanee can climb so high as well, I hope that she can be in top 3 next year.

With Mayu winning where going to see the disparity with media and fan favoritism. They couldnt wait to forget all about Sasshi wins, they covered it for the minimal amount necessary. But for Mayu, we may never hear the end of it. She will be all over the place, people will talk about how great she is and how she should have won last year too. It could be the middle of Dec and they may still be having parades for her victory

I guess that's what she meant by her "I will protect akb" statement. A jab at Sashi. IMHO, it means "I will clean AKBs reputation after last years fiasco." Last year there was some backtalk from the other girls about it, and apparently was the last straw that prompted a graduation or two. Some girls didn't take it well apparently, and didn't think it was fair that Sashi won because of her past "transgressions." I on the other hand was overjoyed since I don't think it was that big of a deal compared to "true" scandals. Unless of course, there's more to it that only insiders know about.

I'd like to think the reason Sashihara started to get more votes is because of the amazing work in HKT48, she's done alot to push those girls.

@whippersnapper Do you by any chance know who decided to graduate because of it?

@findtheakarun No. Just rumors. Talk of people "supposedly" behind the scenes. You know how it is: no one's going to admit anything. Also, it wasn't "the" reason. Just the final straw.

Sayaka left Miyuki in the dust, tho. lmao. She's such a goddess <3

I'm so glad Annin is more than ten spots up!

Yukirin with #3 forever, tho.

WMatsui keeping up as usual.

Ikoma, Kawaei and Sakura in the senbastu. New gen takeover? <3

Disappointed by Murashige's spot tho, thought she'd get higher tbh.

Same with some of the NMB girls. i,e Oba, Miori and Jonishi.

Takajo Aki tho. She'll feel so disappointed. ;A;

More than anything, I'm glad Mayuyu got #1. She strikes me as one of those idols who actually love being an idol and aren't in to use AKB as a stepping stool. I just wanna see her reaction now. She deserved it, more so than anyone else. <3

tbh i think yukirin should be in 3rd place rather than jurina just cause idk yuki has been in a higher ranking for longer and also she has a better voice and the higher ur ranking is, the more lines u get etc

The best was when nyannyan faked her graduation announcement. My heart skipped a beat. This keeps up the number 1 curse: if your first in Election, you won't be first next year.

I literally screamed when HKT48 was call for #2 as that meant that Mayuyu finally got her wish the be ranked #1. That has been a dream of hers since the first election. I am so happy for her. I was half in tears watching her walk down to that mic.
