Michishige Sayumi graduates from Morning Musume '14

On November 26, idol group Morning Musume '14 wrapped up their fall tour "Morning Musume '14 Concert Tour Fall GIVE ME MORE LOVE ~Michishige Sayumi Sotsugyo Kinen Special~" at Yokohama Arena, and with this concert, the leader Michishige Sayumi officially graduated from the group and also from Hello! Project.



Michishige joined the group back in January 2003 as a 6th generation member, and stayed for 12 years which is the longest period for a member of the group.


During the graduation ceremony, Michishige, appeared in a pink dress and looked back upon the past saying, "It was not like I was interested in showbiz, nor loved to sing or dance. I am here only because of my love for Morning Musume." She then expressed her gratitude to the fans, "Thank you for finding me, and meeting me."

The idol also said with�tearful�eyes, while looking around the venue which was at full capacity with�12,000 audience members, "I always said 'there is a view I would want to show my juniors' and this is it. This is the last thing I can give back to them."


Nakazawa Yuko --the first leader of the group--,�?-ute member Yajima Maimi who will take over the leader of Hello! Project after Michishige, and LoVendo?'s�Tanaka Reina who was also the 6th generation member, appeared on the stage�to celebrate Michishege's graduation.


Also, the producer Tsunku?, other former Morning Musume members, Kikuchi Ami, Yanagihara Kanako (known as the group's fan), Tanaka Masahiro and Satoda Mai, and more visited the venue for Michishige, and watched over her.


During the concert, Morning Musume '14 performed 32 songs, including "TIKI BUN", "Wagamama Ki no mama Ai no Joke", Michishige's solo song "Shabadaba Doo", and "Akai Freesia" (Melon Kinenbi) which was the set piece for the 6th generation audition.�


At the live, it was announced that Fukumura Mizuki would be the 9th leader, and both�Iikubo Haruna and Ikuta Erina�were picked as the sub-leaders.

After her graduation, Michishige will take a break from showbiz indefinitely.
