On February 1, SKE48's Furukawa Airi announced her graduation from the group during Team KII's stage performance at SKE48 Theater in Aichi.

Furukawa joined SKE48 as its 2nd generation member and is now the leader of Team KII. A message from the idol has been posted onto the group's official website stating, "This graduation is for me to head towards my new dream, so I hope to spend my time with�everyone to the end with smiles. It's not a sad graduation, so it would make me�happy if you would continue to support SKE48's Furukawa Airi with a smile."�

Furukawa's last day as an SKE48 member will be on March 31.
