"DEATH NOTE" depicts the battles of the minds between geniuses over reaper's notebook called "death note" which can kill people whose name is written in it.

Though it has been adapted into live-action movies, anime, and a musical play, this will be the first time for the series to get a TV drama adaptation.

Reportedly, the drama will have a different story from its anime or movie adaptations with a different ending.

It was also revealed that "N" would appear in the drama which would be the first time for the character to appear in its live-action adaptation.

More details including its staff and cast members, will be announced at a later date.
