On September 23, singer Abe Mao (25) updated her official blog and announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy.

Abe expressed, "I am happy to have met my new family member and thankful to my fans who have watched over and supported the birth of this life. I am doing my best so that those feelings can be reflected in Abe Mao's activities. Please continue to support me." 

Abe married her band member Iizuka Akira (31) in January, then announced her pregnancy in March. She held her nationwide tour "2015-nen Zenkoku Tour 'Abe Mao Live No.6'" from March to May as planned.
