Actress Konno Mahiru (38) gave birth to her second child, a 2,910 gram (6 lb 6 oz) baby girl, on September 8. 

The actress made this announcement on her agency's official website. Both mother and child are in healthy condition. Konno will gradually resume her activities while considering her health. 

Konno announced, "I safely gave birth to a baby girl. I am just thankful that she was born in good health." She continued to express, "I hope to utilize the gentle brightness and the requisite strength of a mother in my future work. Of course, I hope to manage both work and child-rearing. I hope to go forward with the help of many people." 

Konno married a pilot, who was her classmate from junior high school, in November of 2008. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in August of 2012.
